This is my final 2007 year list as of 31st December. Regretably this web format does not allow me to add the careful notes I keep on all interesting species recorded, but this may be viewed at the BOU's listing site at http://www.bubo.org/listing.

A total of 264 species recorded with personal highlights being my most wanted British classics: Corncrake, Dotterel, Sea Eagle, Roseate Tern, Ptarmigan, Wryneck and Little Auk. Other magic included crippling views of Lesser-spotted Woodpeckers and Spotted Crake and much overdue Sooty Shearwater, Sabine's Gull, Pallas' Warbler etc. Moment of the year, however, has to be male Golden Oriole feeding young at RSPB Lakenheath - filling the scope with yellow brilliance.
